Who Are We?

Hello, and welcome to Impulse Web Solutions of Wilmington, North Carolina - a full service web development company specializing in web application development.

My name is Jonathan Richey (a.k.a. 'Red Dragon' on the WBLive forum) and I am the owner and founder of Impulse Web Solutions. I earned a B.S. in Computer Science from UNCW in 2002 and since then have worked for several different web design companies in Wilmington. My goal with this company is to help you understand the power of the web and educate you on the endless possibilities that are available via the internet.

I chose the name Impulse Web Solutions for two reasons: one, I used to be in a band called Impulse (Impulse Rocks!); secondly, one of the definitions of the word 'impulse' is urge, or instinctive motive. I think a lot of people have the urge or desire to use the web more, but they just don't know how. Plus, face it, we don't like change. We like doing things the way we've always done them because it's comfortable and as far as we care, it works. But, a lot of the current processes that people are using to manage their businesses are tedious, manual, inefficient and confined to one user at a time in one location at a time. Replacing these traditional methods with a web application can make the process dynamic, efficient, faster, more effective and it can be accessed by multiple people at the same time in different locations.
